Well, I don't any have money yet.
As soon as I get a job, I will buy one of these, if they aren't too expensive.
How much would it cost?

What did you use to make this, and how long did it take?

:iconmadponyscientist:
MadPonyScientist Featured By Owner Nov 21, 2012
There is a wire armature inside and it is made of Sculpey clay and painted with acrylics. It took about 10 hours.

I do that with my blind bag pegasi...to bad they're kind of bad at keeping balance...

Maybe you should weight them down? These are much heavier and i think that helps because these hang on for dear life. It would be hard to shake her off.

How would I weight down a blind bag-figurine?
Reply
:iconmadponyscientist:
MadPonyScientist Featured By Owner Nov 21, 2012
you would have to make a hole in a leg and fill it with something heavy like sand and then patch the hole with clay, wax or even glue

They're not really big enough to get anything heavy into them though:p Blind bags are only about an inch tall.

I was suggesting a cheap way but since most blindbags are usually about 2 inches tall, you could buy bb's or even better, lead shot and theyy would be even heavier than mine :) of course it would cost a dollar or so to do it, but....

Do you have a tutorial for making ponies? Just asking ^^

MadPonyScientist Featured By Owner Nov 22, 2012
i really don't. There are a couple of sped-up videos on how to make a pony on the last EQD crafts comp. I have never made one because I don't make them the way everyone else does. All of the others seem to measure the clay out and use sculpting tools and i just refuse to do it so I only use my fingers and if necessary I use a toothpick to draw the lines in some of the pony hair. but that is it. So I don't think my tutorial would be helpful to most people.

Yeah, I just use my fingers and a toothpick to draw lines if necessary. It is probably more difficult but it makes me feel like I am the one doing it and not the tools. Stupid I guess but that's just me :P
