This is a commission for :icontoadma: ...I spent a LOT of time on this one... hope you like it!

He is entirely hand sculpted. No tools other than a toothpick... which made those buttons and tiny crosses a pain in the butt to do, but I just refuse to use tools. I know, I'm crazy....why do you think my username is MADponyscientist!!!!

What colors did you use on the clay?

:iconmadponyscientist:
You mean paint? The only paint that was used was on his eyes and cutie mark. The rest was colored clay.

Ohh ok. What color clay did you use for that?

How much would this one cost? x

He is more than regular ponies because there are so many details to that uniform and his hooves so this one is $80 plus shipping.

Pieces, really! I'm going to try to sculpt a bunch of base ponies, and then sell them as OC's with mane/tail and paint to specifications. I'm really excited about trying it, and I want to try a lot of different poses and expressions. And then I feel like it will be easier for me to do customs - I'm afraid to start because I don't want someone to be unhappy with the results. This way, the majority of the pony will be done and there to see aside from the customization part.

I dunno...am I crazy?

All I know is this, my ponies with poses I choose don't sell as well as my commissions. I think it is because most people either want a regular standing pose or they want to show you exactly how they want it. Some will give you wiggle room once they trust that you will make a nice pony but some want it a certain way and that's it...those people i usually send somewhere else because they are very likely to be disappointed because it is almost impossible to give someone exactly what they want unless they have an exact picture for reference. Some only have an idea and want you to imagine their idea and make it exactly like that...send those people away!! But yeah, for pre-made base ponies, I would stick with the regular standing ponies. For your own projects and commissions do the more cool poses. This suggestion is from many months of trial and error trying to figure out what people will buy. Take my head-spinning Rainbow Dash for example..it actually spins and is a cool and unique pose but I can't give the thing away... but a standing well made Rainbow Dash sells easily. Or a cute pose but premaking cute poses is tricky because you might think it's cute and so may a lot of others but that DOES NOT mean people will buy it (or at least not for much). I have learned that lesson time and time again.
Last thing...do you have a price in mind?

I was thinking $50 flat per pony, plus actual shipping cost.
