SCOOTALOO Ballerina Custom Sculpture by MadPonyScientist SCOOTALOO Ballerina Custom Sculpture by MadPonyScientist
Scootaloo and practicing her ballet moves. Shhhh! Don't tell anyone!

She has a removable tutu as seen in her other picture in my gallery and if the winning bidder would like, I will make her some pretty ballet slippers in any color they choose.

EBAY : [link]

She is made entirely of polymer clay and painted with acrylics.

polymer clay...? thats air dry clay right? i cant stop all my'n cracking? any tips?

No, actually polymer clay doesn't dry until you cook it. I have done air dry clay before and it is messy and a pain in the butt. I MUCH prefer polymer clay. There are different brands but the one I always use is Sculpey but there is Fimo and others as well. I don't know if those brands are available in Australia or not but they will have some kind of polymer clay and they are all about the same. As for the air dry clay cracking, the only thing you can do it just to keep wetting it which is why it is so messy.
If you switch to polymer clay you will probably never go back. It is not messy and will never dry out until it is cooked. You can paint it or buy it in colors so you wouldn't even have to paint the finished product. I could give you a lot of tips on that clay!

It says to cook it a 275 degrees Fahrenheit for 15 minutes but I cook mine at 250 for about 25 minutes.

Thanks! Did you miss the Derpy snowglobe at the bottom of the Customs Comp? They got all 3 of my recent ones. Calpain watches my gallery these days and I think he puts up pretty much everything I do :)

I have a cool idea. I wish I had some money, because I'd love a vinyl scratch music box, with spinning turntables. XD

I was going to make my turntables a music box but it wouldn't have been accurate because it couldn't play the records while the ponies were riding them. Maybe some day I will do her with her turntable alone with a music box inside :)
