Thanks. It was made by hand from colored polymer clay over a wire armature.

No problem! Definitely better than what I could do.
So you took the wire and shaped into the shape of the pony, before sculpting the clay into position and whatnot on top of it? In a nutshell, of course.

Yeah, I just bend the wire into a "stick pony" and start adding clad and smooth it out :)
